Elegant. Layered. Classic.
At the center of Katharine’s design philosophy is a deep respect for architectural heritage combined with a celebration of individual style. She crafts interiors that seamlessly blend the charm of original architectural elements with the homeowner’s personal touch, using a curated mix of unique materials, color, custom millwork, and carefully found decor.
Katharine’s design sensibility was shaped by her upbringing in the hamlet of Essex Fells, NJ, where she was deeply influenced by the character of her family colonial home and other local residences that exude tradition and charm. This provincial background informs her approach to design, allowing her to subtly, yet impactfully, blend historical elegance with contemporary convenience in every project she undertakes.
Katharine accepts consultations from ad hoc sourcing and decor requests to full scale renovation and design.
Meet Katharine.
Organized and intentional, Katharine’s career spans both the fields of luxury interior design and business management/operations (the operations side of which remains a critical, and majority, piece of any design project.)
Katharine honed her operational skills at private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts before transitioning into the interior design field. Her initial experience in design included supporting retail projects for designer Max Zinser, working with esteemed clients such as Goop, 3.1 Philip Lim, and The Row. Katharine gained further expertise working with Eve Robinson, focusing on purchasing and design operations for remarkable residential projects in Manhattan. Most recently as a leader at Eqpt, she directed the design of luxury model units for prominent NYC developers, ensuring precise execution. Now based in New Jersey, Katharine has further cemented her focus on residential design, which is her primary passion.
She holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of Southern California and an Interior Design Certification from Parsons School of Design, equipping her with a blend of historical knowledge and contemporary design skills that define her approach to creating elegant, personalized interiors.
